IDENTIFY AND ADDRESS YOUR CHILD'S LANGUAGE & LITERACY NEEDS
As children grow from toddlers into teens, their language needs change. The school curriculum places ever-changing demands on them. Children grow and adapt to these demands by using their present abilities and by learning new skills and strategies. The path they travel is dynamic and can be uneven. Some children's language and literacy skills may be significantly challenged for many reasons, making success in school difficult for them.
Linguistic Foundations can help these children through our testing process.

A profile of strengths and weaknesses can point to a generalized set of language learning needs or to a more specific language-based learning disability – such as specific language disability (SLD) or Dyslexia.
At Linguistic Foundations, your child – at any age from 3-18 – will receive complete speech and language testing. This Oral and Written Language Evaluation will fully identify his or her strengths and weaknesses in the areas of speech development, spoken language, and written language (reading, expressive writing, and reading comprehension).
We will prepare a written report, which fully describes your child’s language-based strengths and weaknesses. The report will also contain recommendations to facilitate growth in oral and written language. This report is an instructional plan which targets listening, speaking, reading, and writing for the classroom and at home. Linguistic Foundations will also work with you every step along the way, as you develop a plan with your child’s school-based team. Finally, we will stay with you to assist as the demands of the school curriculum change over time.
